For most of my life, I was overweight. I could never find the motivation to work out or to live an overall healthier lifestyle, and had never belonged to a health club. My brother’s upcoming wedding was my motivation to finally lose weight, and brought me to Sport&Health.
When I joined, my membership consultant, Ram, shared some quick and easy ways for me to change my habits, such as watching my sodium intake, eating smaller meals throughout the day to keep my metabolism going, avoiding eating dinner so late, and so on. It was through his advice, my personal training sessions, discipline in my eating, and going to the club habitually that I was able to lose 45 pounds in four months.
What began as ‘shedding for the wedding’ turned into a complete lifestyle change. I am happier, healthier, and more energized. I weigh less now than when I was 16! It is the smiling faces and friendships of the employees at Old Town Sport&Health that gets me to the gym each day. Thank you especially to Ram, Terrie, and Cody for making me a better person!
